Observations - Lockdown Edition

When New York City went into a state of pause amid the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to spend the three months of lockdown in Illinois with family. Removed from the noise and bustle of the city was both scary and disorienting at first, but a couple of weeks in I started to feel the benefits of being in a quiet, calm environment where I was allowed to get lost in my thoughts and in the small details around me. Here is a collection of images taken during those couple months. They are simple images, but I deeply enjoyed the challenge.

Although difficult to see at first, I found that there is beauty and complexity even in the seemingly ordinary if you take the effort to take a close look.
